Art as Solidarity
When the Access Hollywood “grab ‘em by the pussy” video of Trump was released, I rage stitched this piece. I paid no mind to the quality of my stitching or to the design, I just stabbed that shit until I felt better. I had no idea that a year later, it would become the image that millions of survivors would use to accompany their ‘Me Too’ stories online.
I read every single one of them. I am astounded by the bravery and resilience. I am furious that there are millions of stories. This piece belongs to the survivors and the warriors. I am so grateful that my rage created something that so many people connected with.
